Greenworks, founded in 2007, is a leading manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries and exterior power supplies produced by its parent company, the Globe Tools Group. The company offers a wide range of branded products, including 24, 40, 60, 80 and 82-volt batteries of commercial quality, as well as a complete line of wire-drawing machines and cylinder mowers. Over the last ten years,
Greenworks launched the G-24 line of cordless tools, the industry’s first battery-powered two blade lawnmower, and in November 2016, a full line of 60-volt lithium-ion products sold exclusively at Lowe’s hardware and online retailers.
The company is at the service of its customers and gardeners who are looking for the right tools for every task. Greenworks customers are typically environmentally conscious, technology-driven people who need tools to do their job, but who don’t have the hassle, noise or emissions of typical gas-fired objects. The introduction of Greenworks Pro’s 80-volt lithium-ion products at the end of 2014 has given homeowners more opportunities for outdoor projects. Two years later, a special line of 82-volt commercial lithium-ion products was launched to meet the needs of professional landscapers.
Greenworks offers wire, battery and hand mowers ranging from very economical to more expensive, with a voltage of 40 to 80. Some of these mowers are equipped with brushless motors and bag and mulching options. Given the company’s environmental awareness, it is not surprising that Greenworks also offers high quality drum mowers, with cutting decks from 16 to 20, which are capable of bagging cutting waste. Besides quality lawnmowers, Greenworks also offers other products for agriculture, such as wheelbarrows, brushcutters, cultivators, separators, shredders and trimmers. In addition to batteries, chargers and accessories, Greenworks also offers snowploughs, high-pressure cleaners, air compressors and hand tools such as saws, drills, work lights and a cordless hand vacuum cleaner.
Using technology considered by many consumers to be best in class, Greenworks tools provide the performance of comparable gas tools without the clutter, smoke, vibration and noise. In recent years, the company has expanded its North American operations by opening a 40,000 square foot office in North Carolina. In early 2017, Greenworks in Sweden moved to Europe to serve its growing markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company has also opened an e-commerce office in Seattle to improve sales and personal relationships with its online trading partners.
